The OUT-FRONT band is available for Parties, Corporate Functions, Bars and Concerts.
OUT-FRONT is a band that is made up of some of the finest Musicians in San Francisco. They represent the best in Blues, Rock, Rhythm and Blues, Soul and Jazz standards. They can start out soft with Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong and wind up rocking out with Jimi Hendrix or Shout by the Isley brothers. We have found that in San Francisco it is good to be versatile. When it comes to Sixties Rock Mike Shapiro is the guy who can sing just about any Beatles, Stones or other British Invasion group song including lots of Fifties to boot. They even include a little comedy in their show with Marlon Green's famous drum solos where he plays on everything and anything including his own head. All five of them sing lead but the heavy lifting is left to Derek Evans who has been the lead singer for The Jules Broussard band for five years. Roscoe and Marlon actually are from Jules' band also. We have been playing at one of San Francisco's premier venues, Lou's Pier 47, for about three years in the present lineup. I think it's time to branch out and let some other people hear us. Group Bio's
- Marlon Green - Drums - Marlon has been a percussionist around the Bay Area for years and years and has played wit h all the heavies including Zykia Hooker, Jules Broussard, Green Brothers and The Texas Twister just to name a few. He has also recorded with Johnny Talbot and John Lee Hooker.
- Mike Shapiro - Guitar - Lead Guitar and vocals. Mike Shapiro has been playing in the Bay Area since the Sixties when he played with the famous William Penn And His Pals. He has since been making the rounds of the Bay Area but mostly in San Francisco. He is also a music producer and produced Live At Lou's among about 7 others CDs.
- Russ WhiteHead - Bass - Russ has been in the Bay Area for quite awhile. He used to play the the group Crusin' that played all over San Francisco for years. He plays about 20+ gigs a month and burns out cars regularly driving to gigs. He is famous for his rendition of Mule Skinner Blues which you can hear on the CD.
- Roscoe Gallo - keys - Roscoe is an incredible keyboard player. His version of Ray Charles tunes are impeccable and his Rock ain't to bad either. During the day he is a noted Mastering Engineer and has "mastered" over 100 CDs in the past few years. He is not a bad singer either.
- Derek Evans - vocals - Derek comes from "down south". He has got maybe the worlds loudest voice. He really doesn't have his microphone turned on, it's just for show. Just kidding. He has played all around the country and is a true professional.
